New Author-New Book

My wife and I are new to this forum. We are also new as authors. We decided to write a book to help men and couples deal with prostate cancer. We write from personal experience as I was diagnosed with prostate cancer at age 58. Our book is written from 3 perspectives:

1. Our personal experiences with prostate cancer and robotic surgery.

2. Our professional training-I have a Masters Degree in Social Work and experience as a Medical Social Worker and my wife is an RN with Oncology experience.

3. From our faith as Christians.

The title of our Book is: I Left My Prostate in San Francisco-Where's Yours?

Subtitle- Coping With The Emotional, Relational, Sexual and Spiritual Aspects of Prostate Cancer.

We intend to use the book as a way to launch our on-line ministry for men/couples who are considering prostate surgery or who had surgery.

The book will be released by the end of January. We are fortunate/blessed in that our local paper the Modesto Bee has agreed to do a feature story about our book and ministry.

It's taken us 2 years to write the book. The majority of the book was written in real time as we were going through the experiences. It's great to be on the healing side of this journey and getting into marketing, rather than recovering from all the life changes brought about by surgery.
