Synopsis

Abingdon, Alabama. 1956. 

A young black maid is found hanged from a tree. Lynched.

About the Author

J D Wright was born in Alabama. He worked on an Alabaman newspaper, interviewing Harper Lee, as well as writing for the US Navy and Time magazine. He currently lives in North Carolina. ‘The Butchers’ is his debut novel, and he is currently working on a sequel.
