The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

A few weeks ago, a dear friend of mine announced to me and three other authors that she had finally found a home for her novel. After the initial jump for joy and confetti toss, three of us began to discuss ways to help promote this talented author and her debut book. Hence the idea to form an authors’ group blog called MURDER BY 4 quickly became a reality and since we all write mysteries/suspense and thrillers, the name seemed like a natural fit. ;)

The focus of the blog is to not only promote our books but to also share information with readers about our writing journeys and to showcase other authors. Since its launch on March 17, 2008, we’ve posted daily, have featured two guest writers per week, and as of the writing of this post, we’ve had 669 unique visitors and numerous return visitors to the blog.

This week's guest bloggers on MURDER BY 4 are: Marilyn Meredith, author of award winning Deputy Tempe Crabtree mystery series will be featured on 3/3/08 and Felicia Donovan, author of the Black Widow Agency series will be featured on 3/7/08. Meredith is a member of Book Marketing Network group. Please stop by, read about their fascinating work and success stories and when you’re done, you’ll find a link on MURDER BY 4 that will bring you right back here to BMN.

As one of the contributing authors to the blog, I posted two articles this past week that I hope you'll find interesting. The first is titled "A Chance Meeting." I wrote this short scene as a challenge to write a scene between my character Sam Harper and author Aaron Lazar's Gus LeGarde protagonist. This was a fun challenge for me because I wrote it from Gus LeGarde's point of view instead of Harper's. Those who have read either of these series will hopefully find some familiarities between the ambiance in this piece and those created in the series. The second article is titled, "The Perfect Crime."

If you have an interest in contributing an article to MURDER BY 4 that discusses book promotion, marketing, publishing, the how-to to securing an agents, book signings, etc., please contact me via the link on MB4. In the meantime, please join us in welcoming this week’s guest bloggers and post your comments!
