Title: The Last Train at Sunset
By: Pearl Nsiah-Kumi
ISBN#978-1491702673
Review Date: October 3, 2013
A Christian Book Review
9.9 out of 10.0 stars

The Last Train at Sunset by multi-published author Pearl Nsiah-Kumi presents to individuals the important question of salvation through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.  Poignantly presenting the Gospel through a series of short articles and poems, the author sheds light to the urgency of the matter and that “Today is the Day of salvation.”  She encourages all to understand the urgency of the matter because all are appointed to die and eternity does await each individual whether you believe or don’t believe.

With much scripture and a firm biblical application, the author gives concise answers to the question of salvation, forgiveness of sins, eternity, Heaven, Hell.  Within this, she gives tools and practical application from scripture to help the believer in the walk with the Lord.  This a wonderfully encouraging read that inspires all to take hold of salvation and to not miss the last train at sunset.

For further information visit the author at Pearl Kumi. You may get your copy of The Last Train at Sunset at Amazon, in Kindle Edition and at other fine-online bookstores.

Threading the Needle by Gabriel Valjan

An action packed political thriller

Threading

Isidore Farrugia is a cop, brought up during the Years of Lead, a horrific period in Italian history, a time of terror and killing, his childhood memories, scarred forever by the brutal death of his mother. Nevertheless, he is a good man, loyal and protective of his friends and colleagues.

This is why although off duty and out of jurisdiction, when his friend Bianca arranges a meeting with her informant, Charles Brooks, he insists on coming too. However, soon his onlooker role changes, when the young 23-year-old American, Bianca came to meet is killed, and so are his assassins.

Then another murder takes place, and the Italian police investigators find themselves unearthing a web of political intrigue

Bianca has a secret though, she knows, she must uncover the truth behind the information she has been entrusted with, despite warnings from her mysterious online contact Loki, to stay away. Adastra, a weapons manufacturer is hiding something... But what?

I found myself hooked, right from the start of this brilliant, action packed, political crime thriller, which is set in Milan.

For those, like myself, who are interested in history, the Afterword about the Years of Lead by Claudio Ferrara was very interesting.

This is actually the third book in the ‘Roma’ series, by this talented author, and there is a tantalising glimpse at the end into his fourth book, ’Turning to Stone.’

Threading the Needle is available in Paperback from Amazon here http://www.amazon.com/Threading-Needle-Gabriel-Valjan/dp/0989479218...

If you read my blog you know that in the last week my novel, DROP OUT http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005FX0K7U has recently soared in the Amazon rankings below #1,000 in the paid store and #25 in romantic suspense. My sales bump started with a free Ereader News Today sponsorship and has continued with the novel staying in the low 20,000’s in the rankings this week. So, how do I keep up the momentum? Well, first of all, I continue to answer each and every inquiry, thread post, and reader email that comes my way. I’ve found that readers really do get a thrill when an author personally answers their messages. Though it is time consuming, it does sell books. Second, I continue posting articles, blogs, and promotions of DROP OUT on the numerous writer websites and online communities to which I belong. Again, the one-on-one interaction with writers and readers really does get interest in the book. I can’t tell you how many sales I have made from being a part and taking part in discussions with these communities, but my sales do slow down if I don’t participate for a few days. Third, I continue writing my two new novels when I’m not marketing and promoting my available ones. This keeps me grounded as a writer and I don’t feel that loss of not creating when I spend so many hours that I could be, marketing. I think it’s vital for a writer to always be working on something new and creative. It’s very easy to sink into a depression if existing book sales begin to decline and you don’t have another book on the way to lift the hope-spirit. And lastly, I think the most important factor in keeping the sales momentum continuing for DROP OUT, is that I truly believe in the story and the powerful, sometimes life-altering affect the book has had on readers. The unsolicited, unbiased 5-star reviews I’ve been getting promote the book more than I ever could myself. Here’s the latest from yesterday. Check it out on Amazon. Drop Out is a truly inspiring story of heartbreaking loss, survivor's guilt, and the healing power of unconditional love. I highly recommend this book.

Sci-fi action at its best.

We begin this story far in the future with Black and his stealth pod crew who are stationed on Harmonica, a spaceport city orbiting Earth’s terra-formed moon. They are instructed to intercept an unresponsive spacecraft and inside they discover a beautiful but lethal humanoid woman.

Then, we then leap forward in time to find Black, miraculously reborn on an unfamiliar planet called Neon and in a place called Starlight City. Here where humans, robots and other combinations exist, Black discovers he is a wanted man.

Hazy memories surface as he fights to discover who he is and why the leader Nahzir wants him so badly.

Soon others are involved, some with their own ghosts from the past, and together they share a great adventure where incredible discoveries are made.

The author has an amazing imagination and insight into cyberspace. This book is fast moving and exciting with enough imaginative future technology to keep even the most demanding technophobe happy.
