WRITER AT LARGE

I have been a professional writer most of my life, other than occasional sidetracks into smuggling, law enforcement, and other childish thrills. I've written for urban dailys and weeklies, top national (US) magazines, mail order catalogs, comedians, websites, and books...mostly about Mexico and Spanish. I had two syndicated columns in hip urban weeklies, both award winners, both widely admired and reviled. I've edited a dozen publications, owned several, had a line of poetry titles, and was at one time a hot-shot mail order marketing exec.

In recent years I've turned more to scripts and novels. I have a TV series in development (which just means some Hollywood producers are trying to sell it instead of me) and am currently promoting the books I published last year.

I will put more website addresses here as the time gets closer.

I just hate bios and "about me" blurbs, actually. But you seem okay.

Hi Linton,
Thanks for your kind words. I am totally up for teaming up and cross promoting in what ever way I can. Quite new to the book promotion process. Initially I am trying to pump the trailer out there and get reviews of the book. If you want to read it I can send you a code to download it for free. just let me know.

If you like my trailer you should check out my website 'Cast' page where you can see a series of funny viral films I made introducing each of the characters in my book. http://www.rorycantwell.com

I hope you like them and great to make contact.

Cheers Rory

Thanks, Keith. If you happened by here, Keith runs a fulfillment service--delivering books to customers.

We base our fulfillment on activity. Price would depend on how many orders a year and items shipped per year. We do not charge any set up fees. Without any numbers from your end.......lets say 1.26 for the first item......and say .70 for additional items...totally ball park figures. You would set up an advance for freight and ride along with our substantial UPS discount. We use a lot of media mail with the USPS. We want to see activity. We work with 30 publishers, about 4000 titles. As far as eBooks....at the PubWest conference in November the subject did come up......the eBook would need to be stored. At present Publishers are storing eBooks.....that is not to say a fulfillment company could not make arrangements to store. Questions, please advise.
Thanks,
Keith

FREE Today and Tomorrow...a comic caper with lovebird bank robbers

A Fun Caper With Lovebird Bank Robbers

Bottom line: free on Kindle today and tomorrow.

Next to the bottom line: I’m crusin’ hard for reviews and think you’ll enjoy this enough to give me some stars.

BAILIN’ started life as a screenplay.  But if there is one thing harder to sell than a novel, it’s a movie script.  So, on the advice of TVwriter.com guru Larry Brody, I…

MAYAN CALENDAR GIRLS now in paperback and Kindle

Some of you probably know I’ve been on a long time novel project called MAYAN CALENDAR GIRLS, part of team of writers called “Team 2012”. It was an online serial for a year, very popular; then a much-awarded, highly innovative, commercially useless ebook: now it’s a paperback, and an official Kindle eBook.

I’m pretty thrilled about this: it’s the wildest, coolest book I’ve been on yet. Unique, quirky, adventurous, romantic, funny…and plenty of cheesecake. But also because it’s the first… Continue
