My novel, "Candles in the Window," has been called a romance. I admit that it's hard to categorize, but I prefer to call it a psychological look at love and sex, in this case among college students in the 1950s, including fears of homosexuality, mostly on the part of a priest who provides a counterpoint to the students' story. The main focus is on a beautiful, talented, but enigmatic, even troubled, girl nicknamed "Silky." I'm posting this notice on this discussion wall because the novel is, in some respects, a romance. There is a boy meets girl coming of age theme. In any case, you can find it on Amazon.com and Kindle, plus (with a different cover) on Nook and Smashwords. The book was originally published in 1999, at which time it was well reviewed in the Baltimore Sun--the reviewer was so impressed by the book's "lively" style that he refused to believe it was fiction, insisting that it was a memoir. The book was also once used in an English literature college course. I'm re-issuing it now, slightly revised. Thanks. Karl

I, too, am a romance novelist. I just published my novel, On the Wings of Love, through smashwords.com as an ebook.
My story takes place in Alaska. It is a tale of a female bush pilot Wiley Hart and her passenger, businessman Dexter Sweeney. After becoming stranded with no hope of rescue, they embark on a trek through the wilderness in the hopes of reaching civilization. Along the way, they will encounter, wild animals, raging rivers, and whatever Mother Nature decides to throw at them. But their growing feelings for each other is the most dangerous thing they will confront.
