Writing About Where You Are......

Travel writing is about observational experiences and what they mean to us. It's about writing from where we "are" and where we've been. I find that I write more when I travel than at any other time.

Comment by Barry Finlay on June 11, 2011 at 11:10am: My book is about my travel to Africa in 2009 to climb Mount Kilimanjaro at age 60 with my son and our efforts to bring a classroom and clean water to a community close to the mountain. It will be released in August. If you would like to read more, you can do so at www.plankilimanjaro.blogspot.com. I should have a sample of the book available on my blog in a week or two.
