Something About Me and My Book:
I'm a self-taught illustrator & credit my artistic gift to inheritance and long hours of work on technique and skill. My mother, an artist for many years, and my father, a poet and a writer, gave me inspiration and commitment to pursue art as a profession. As a young adult, I met Mr. D. H. Kunte, who became my mentor. My primary work has been in illustrations for greeting cards. But my love of children has steered me towards facilitating Children’s Art Workshops in India and illustrations for children’s books.
I work from my home studio in Mumbai, India. I also enjoy American pop music, Indian music and traditional Indian cooking.
