Something About Me and My Book:
I am a multi-published author currently residing in Maine. My first book is co-authored with Brian Doe and is titled, WAKING GOD-a controversial spiritual thriller that is a spiritual/religious commentary in the guise of a novel. It is the first of a trilogy and Book II, THE SACRED ROTA is complete. Both books have been released by Literary Road Press. WAKING GOD has had great reviews, including one by Piers Anthony. My second novel is called A MAINE CHRISTMAS CAROL and retells the classic in contemporary Maine. Instead of old Scrooge, we have 16 year old TJ who, after losing his father in Iraq, turns to drugs to cope with the pressures of modern society. A new classic in the making.
My third book, is called JESUS TAUGHT IT, TOO: THE EARLY ROOTS OF THE LAW OF ATTRACTION and the 2nd Edition is released by ALL THINGS THAT MATTER PRESS. Want to know where THE SECRET came from, read this book. My fourth book, RAPING LOUISIANA: A DIARY OF DECEIT was released by CAMBRIDGE BOOKS in October.
COLLECTED MESSAGES: GUIDES FOR PERSONAL TRANSFORMATION, BOOKS I/II were released by ATTMPress and MESSAGES BOOK III should be available soon. Cambridge Books has published POLARIZING YOUR LIFE TOWARDS PERFECTION and WHAT'S WRONG WITH US ANYWAY? was released by ATTMPress.
I am also a featured writer for The American Chronicle, contributor to Ezine sites and I am an avid blogger. I also host a Talk Radio shows, ALL THINGS THAT MATTER on BlogTalkRadio.com
I have several web sites including the one listed here for WAKING GOD, WWW.WAKINGGOD.COM but feel free to check me out at DICKENS111.TRIPOD.COM AND PHILIPHARRIS.BLOGSOT.COM. MY NEW MAIN SITE IS LISTED BELOW.
I have created a new website for my books. I would love any comments and hope you can stop by and sign the guest book. By the way, the site is a free one and does not have adds. For any authors looking to create a new site, this host is pretty good. So take a moment and come by and say hello.

    Hi Philip,

I have a question for you. I don't want to do a typical book trailer and would love to get on You Tube. I want to be able to speak to people and perhaps read some of my poems. Do you have any idea how I can get on You Tube? I have never done it before, and I have absolutely no clue.

    Thank you.

    -Nadia
  • Philip Harris

First thing you do is to go to YouTube and register. Once you do that you can upload a video. You can use Word movie maker-check your computer-I didn't know I had it until someone told me it was there-it can be sent to YouTube once done.
Also, if you have a camcorder on your on your computer-you can record from that and send to Youtube-if you do not have one thet are under $20-then you can read or whatever and record your image as you do so.
You can probably also record from a digital camera and upload that way.
Hope this helps. I am not techo so maybe others can offer more advice!

    Hello Philip
Yes, I think our books do share some things in common! Mr. Thornton, the main character in my book knows many of the politicians and city leaders from New Orleans. It has been fascinating to listen to him and what "really happened" - not what the news reports.

Hi! Yes we are neighbors of sorts. I have heard of your town. I am 2 hrs. NE of Bangor. Would you be interested in a book signing down our way? Do you know of any other local authors interested in a book signing. Our local library is hosting a fund raiser and if we can get enough local authors they will support a "Authors Night" where we can autograph books (thus getting a little more in royalties) and donate to the library for putting it on. I am raising my prices for autographed books enough to share my royalties 50-50 with them. Nice to meet a neighboring author. Let's keep in touch. I also have a website for Maine authors if you'd like to list a book for free on it. Peruse it www.maineauthors.net. I do all kinds of things which I will share with you.

I would be happy to do an interview, or send some of my authors your way :) Thanks for writing!

I send you greetings of peace and love from the rest of the family. They, like I, are always with you and never leave or forsake you. The angels and the rest of us want you to know how precious you are to us.

When I agreed to give up my divinity and be born in the flesh, I did so very willingly. I looked forward to the time when we, you and us, could all be together and share in everything that is. I looked forward to loving you, hugging you, comforting you and encouraging you so that, when your life gets tough, you will feel secure and supported enough to face whatever you have to face. I looked forward to being the one you could rely upon unconditionally for that strength, comfort and encouragement whenever and however you need it.

Not only that, I looked forward to sharing with you that we created you to love you, and that we so hoped and desired that you would love us back. We want you in our life, and we love it when you want us in yours. It was so exciting when I could turn to my disciples and expand our relationship to include friendship and true fellowship. I offer that friendship and fellowship to you today as well, and I look forward to your inviting me into your life in that way.

You can see there are many reasons why I came in the flesh so many years ago. There’s more! I also wanted to set you free from thoughts and behaviors that hurt you emotionally and spiritually. If you were hurt by people or experienced hard times in your life and lost things like your health, relationships, or your way of life because of disaster or unemployment, I wanted to give you the tips and tools as well as the encouragement to recover emotionally and spiritually from who or what hurt you so you could have the kind of life I want you to enjoy.

Most of you understand why I sacrificed my life for you and what an act of love that was. It is my hope that this letter will help you understand how very much more my life and ministry were to accomplish. I look forward to expanding our relationship now and forever.

    Joyfully, Jesus

Good work, Phil. Did you start out to write a trilogy or did you figure you had a trilogy in it when it was finished? I look forward to reading it. May it go well with you. Alaska Jim on temporary assignment in the desert.

    Hi Phil,

I'm a freelance writer, editor and book-writing coach. I'd love to be a guest on your radio show if you're interested. I have a 2-day seminar designed to launch people's writing -- so many people have books in their head and don't know how to get started. Through the seminar, they actually get organized and get started. Coaching is available for those who desire continued support.

    Let's talk!

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
The blessings we ask for this season
    Aren't the kind that come wrapped with a bow;
We're asking for gifts from the heart,
Ones we need and never outgrow.
May we see in these bright decorations
With their colors and lights all aglow,
The beauty and wonder of life
That God's world was created to show.
Let the peace and goodwill of this season
Be feelings that we can extend
    Far into the following year
To our neighbors, our family, and friends.
Most of all, may we always remember
To open our hearts every day and share all the love and the joy
In a special and meaningful way.

    Philip,

I'm in the same boat as you: I have written 4 books (I'm now working on my 5th. And all I want to do is promote these books. I haven't been able to get a literary agent -- they are all so important. I wish to learn the best ways to promote my stuff on the internet.

Hi Phillip, I havn't been in touch. How are you these days?
  • Stephen Rosenzweig

What do you think of this excerpt from the Journey?
Going up the mountain to the house, they were surrounded by a pack of snarling wild dogs. The pack leader had a split snout that looked like it had been hit with an axe. That was one big, mean, and dangerous looking dog. They were intent on the groceries. Sarah was scared standing very close to Josh, he was determined they would not get their belongings. He was carrying a stout walking stick, and beat them all off. He hit the pack leader on the head hard enough to make him reel back and away. The others followed his lead; he bounded off shaking his head as if to shake off the effects of the blow. Sarah looked at her hero. They took a moment to look back down the mountain side. The city of Haifa lay between the mountains and the shore. Many freighters were close to the docks waiting to unload or load for export. Israeli warships cruised the perimeter of the port.

    Hi Philip,

Congratulations on your all your books. I just wanted to mention to you a website I built called AlreadyPublished.com. It's for authors to promote their book. You do so by posting your book's first chapter, giving readers a peek into your book. The site is free and the list of books is growing, so please check it out. :) BTW, good luck with your books!

p.s. You can also check out this blog post on the Already Published Ning Network, I explain how to post your book. You can also learn more about the website there.

    Best,
    John
