Something About Me and My Book:
While originally programmed for etiquette and protocol, 4-LAN became increasingly aware of the inferior nature of the humans he was assigned to. Mastering the ability to circumvent the basic droid laws allowed 4-LAN to pursue a new existence as a sentient being.

Human error and arrogance fueled 4-LAN's desire to achieve perfection above his imperfect creators. With advanced self taught subroutines, he began a new life as a burglar. As a protocol droid, 4-LAN had the advantage of never being suspected of such crimes. Riches were acquired, but eventually the droid sought a higher level of existence.

Ultimately 4-LAN saw an opportunity in exploring new worlds and dimensions. Taking on work here and there as a bounty hunter, the highly regarded droid paid his way through the galaxy and parallel universes recording all his adventures.

Now with a lifetime of stored data to transmit, 4-LAN is dedicating a segment of his existence to relaying this information across many bandwidths in the form of a rudimentary written language known as basic, in the hopes of finding other droids that are ready to download his radically altered, self programmed coding.

    Hi 4-Lan,

You were kind enough to respond when I joined this site a few weeks ago, and I just wanted to let you know that my book, Thimblerig's Ark, is available for free Kindle download today, March 16.  If you're interested, here's the link.

I'd love to know your thoughts!

    Cheers,

    Nate Fleming

Thank you for the Red Ribbon and the welcome to the site.
  • Joleene Naylor

Thanks so much and for all the support! You're awesome :D

  • Joleene Naylor

    well you're doing a great job! :)

  • Elizabeth Foshee

No, I didn't get as much traffic as I'd hoped from winning the contest. But at least I bought several books I've been wanting with the gift card I won! :D

  • Elizabeth Foshee

    Yes, that's the one!

My husband suggested that I try entering more contests so that my site will get noticed more. I think I'm going to try that suggestion.

I can't wait to hear what you think of the new stories!

I've heard that Thor is pretty good. You guys enjoy your weekend! And say hi to Marilyn for me. :)

I've got a teenager, I'm not sure I can have a "great" weekend but if I can have a calm weekend that will be a plus! lol

  • Elizabeth Foshee

Thanks! :) I'm so glad you like it.  Can't wait to hear what you think of the whole thing.

Lol yes, I've been busy while you've been busy :D I hope you find all the stories entertaining! :)

  • E. G. Manetti

4-Lan, thanks for the heads-up on your blog.  Your tip on Joleene Naylor's books was great, so I will check out Ms. Foshee.

  • Eric Robert Nolan

4-LLAN, that was a great entry for "What I Am Reading."  You really do have a great flair for synopses -- I love the way you are able to share about what you have enjoyed about reading others' work.

As it happens, I have enjoyed Ms. Foshee's work via her website as well -- including the sample chapter for "The World Behind the World."  I'd like to put a link and en entry on my blog --let's just hope my somewhat unpredictable internet connection holds up tonight.  :-)

  • Elizabeth Foshee

Hey thanks for the repost :) I replied on my wall by accident I think lol. Anyway, I put up a picture of my new book cover for my eBook. When I can afford to get it into print I will keep it as my book cover. Hope you like it!

  • Blood Ritual Monarch

I am doing well. Thanks 4-LAN!

    How have you been?

  • E. G. Manetti

Your reviews are always fun - but they get me in trouble.  Now I have to read 101Tips and I have 4 reviews promised I need to finish first.  :-)

Hi, will do. By the way, I plan to bring out my novella in early June (starting the editing shortly) so will be seeking out one of your sought-after reviews around then. Hope you're free!

  • Joleene Naylor

Great reviews - you've been reading up a storm :) I got trapped in Iowa - a very long story - and am in the middle of trying to buy a house (AHHH! Scary!) and then all of the estate stuff with my mother-in-law is coming to a head... man, I need a vacation. How are you?

  • Joleene Naylor

You're reading up a storm! I need to get back to reading - I have been reading at a true crime book - the encyclopedia of crime and punishment or something like that. i admit, i find the murders/serial killers interesting ;)

  • Dormaine G

I will check out the review and will most definitely share it with the world and the time frame was fine. I'm just grateful that you read and reviewed it for me. Madame Lilly, Soulless Vol 2 will be out next month and I cannot wait!

  • Daniel James Miller

That is a generous offer and one I would certainly take you up on.  I am happy to provide an e-copy for free as well.  Just let me know what the best email address would be to get it to you and I'll shoot one out.  Thanks and take care.

    Hi, 4-LAN!

I thought you and the gang might want to know that my book is available for free over the next several days for Kindle users.  :-)

    Thanks, man!!

  • Alan Sickler

Thanks for the recommendation...was worth the $11.99 original listing price, but free makes it a no-brainer. Having read a bit of it, it's been quite enjoyable.

Hey 4-LAN.  I checked out your latest 'What Am I reading'.  Another good one.   The book event is actually this coming Saturday.   Since it's outdoors, the prediction of sunny an 81F is very promising.   Fingers crossed.

  • E. G. Manetti

Thank you for the good wishes.  And thank you for offering to repost your review of The Cartel.   That would be great.  As I mentioned in the past,  a copy of Bright Star is waiting if you can ever fit it in to your reading list.

  • Joleene Naylor

Hello! Sorry for being gone so long, have missed everyone here :) How are you? How's the book?

  • Joleene Naylor

Thanks so much for the awesome review! It came at just the right time, actually ;) Between weather and computer troubles been gone for two weeks and I have an inbox of angry people (my autoreply did not work while I was gone) who want to know why I didn't answer them - and right at the top was this,so it's made all the rest easier to take ;)  Thanks!!!

  • E. G. Manetti

Hey 4-LAN good to see you are back in action.  I've missed your reviews.   Let me know if you need me to send you a copy of Bright Star.

  • J W Nelson

    Thanks for the heads-up, 4-LAN!

  • E. G. Manetti

Nifty of Eric to repost your review of Bright Star on his Wordpress Blog.   I share them on Facebook where have I the most 'friends' but I could do this too.   I don't get a lot of hits on my blog, but they would all be folks who wouldn't see the reviews otherwise.

    Hi Lance,

It's great to hear you are back in business with your book. I'm new to wattpad, but have registered and gave you a vote. Is the main purpose to allow you to get feedback from readers on the story?

I agree, Indies Unlimited produces some very good material and they seem very supportive of Indie authors. I think the Carnarvon Creeper is scheduled to feature as their Saturday Book Showcase this weekend, so would be good if you could stop by and take a look/comment.

I'll be sure check out your latest review.

    Hey Lance,

I book marked your wattpad link when you posted it.  I've been pretty busy between work and my parents, but I will look at Blood & Fire this weekend.  I'm looking forward to see if it has changed much and how your heroes are making out against the vampire and zombies.

Dark Tidings is now on The Bookcaster. Who do you see playing Madrick or Tung if made into a movie? <a href="http://www.thebookcaster.com/dark-tidings/">http://www.thebookcaster.com/dark-tidings/</a>
