This is about going to the movies when I was a kid back in the Thirties and early forties of the last century, as well as my thoughts and observations on the various aspects of the movie busines at the time and since then.

I'm still trying to leave a comment for Aidan Willow Raven, but not having much luck with it. Your mention that you are a Literary agent got my attention real quick. Have I got some pieces of fiction to submit to you! Let me know if it's do-able or suitable, okay? Chris O'Grady
Forgot to mention my "English mystery novel" titled VANISHING LADY, by Gordon Deverowe (my early-on pseudonym) brought out by Xlibris, ISBN # 1-4134-0291-7. One of several novels I wrote featuring a sometime-private eye sometime-corporate raider named Steve Fraser.
An ebook THE GLORIETA PASS by Chris O'Grady ISBN # 1-55316-136-X is available at www.fictionwise.com. A cheap gaudy pulp melodrama about a crook on the run who's being framed for murder in a town owned and operated by a rich old guy who hardly knows what his hired thugs are doing under his auspices. Not bad, but pulpy, granted.
THE CURIOUS EXCHANGE AT KILLAMORE STRAND by Chris O'Grady has been recently self-published by Bookstand Publishing of Morgan hill, CA 95037. It's a chase novel set in Ireland and is close to my heart because it was the first book I wrote in which everything all came together and I knew when I'd finished it that I finally knew how to do it.
Which leaves us with the oddest piece of all a screenplay version of the below-mentioned OUT OF THE NIGHT, but this time it's by Chris O'Grady. I'm also calling it WINDY CITY LIGHTNING in some of its peregrinations among movie agents (but don't hold your breath till anyone makes a movie of it!)
And I would be remiss if I didn't mention LOVE SONG TO A LONG GONE TIME - Memoirs Of A Moviegoer From Way Back by Chris O'Grady, a Red Lead Press book
ISBN # 13:978-0-8059-8526-9. This ostensibly tells of moviegoing as a kid in the 1930's and early '40's, but it's pretty wide-ranging, covering half a lifetime of devoted moviegoing and interest in all its aspects.
Then there's BAGATELLES FOR A MASOCHIST by Chris O'Grady, also brought out at my behest by the redoubtable Xlibris, ISBN # 1-4134-0189-9. This is an anthology of sorts, with the subtitle Four Breezy Pieces. Varying subjects, light, commercial, literary, and one quite serious. A dip-into sort of book.
