I'm published in romantic suspense and romance as well as non-fiction articles and short stories. I'm currently working on a thriller/mystery series with unlikely partners: a homicide detective and a socialite who develop a complex relationship. I've lived in 6 countries and just moved to State number 7. There's only 1 area of the US I haven't lived in. My favorite town is still Boston, but I'm really liking Portland.
If I stood on my roof, I think I could see Mount Hood. Sounds like that famous "...and I can see Russia from my house" comment, but it really may be true. Mount St. Helen's is also a very visible landmark, but it would have looked more awesome if the top wasn't blown off. I'm glad I missed that event, even though I've got a well-developed spirit of adventure.
Welcome, Heather! You and I sound remarkably alike. I've lived or traveled in all 48 states in the continental U.S. - haven't hit Hawaii or Alaska yet.
We also lived in Portland, OR and if I had my choice, we'd still be living there. I LOVED it! There's something magical about riding into work on the bus in the morning and seeing Mt. Hood in the distance, standing in all her glory.
