It often seems today that in order to make it in todays competitive world of publishing, it's no longer enough to be just a good writer, you've also got to be passionate about and committed to, marketing your own works.

Yeah, and she can't wait to go back to the land 'down under' again.
BTW... as you do romance, etc. I should mention that I have just 'broken the mold' a little for the characters in my mystery series and have incorporated some very mild erotica into the plot of my 3'd book in the series.
Part of the premis asks the question; "can a person be psychologically controlled and manipulated into being unfaithfull?"
Some of my readers who read my drafts seem to be uncomforatabe with it, as I have it affecting the beautiful and fiercely loyal female lead. And something like this would be a shocker for her and very much out of character (but that's the whole point)
I think that especially with a series, you've got to shake things up lest the relationship become boring and predictable.
Any thoughts?
