Vampires of the world, beware!

Yes, I  have Vampires on the brain.  I have spent most of my free time lately working on my newest project, the Vampire Hunting Kit.  Now some of you may balk at this, but Vampire Kits go back to the 1800's where they were sold to travellers who might be heading into questionable territory, especially areas with rumors of Vampiric activity.  These kits were fantastic... each with diverse and yet similar implements of destruction.  The most common kits included the crucifix, rosary holy…

Shorty Award

I was nominated for a Shorty Award. I'm thrilled to be nominated. I'm sure there are a lot of people who don't get nominated. I actually received two whole votes. Out of the 55 pages, of the 1096 nominees, I was on page 48 at the top, in the 122nd place.  Who knew I was so popular. lol. I'm going to think of this as a promising start to the year and pray that God will continue to pour his blessings down on my head.

Irene Hannon Fatal Judgment

Fatal Judgment is a new series starting for Irene Hannon and it is a winner. I thoroughly enjoyed her Heroes of Quantico series (please feel free to check our archives), and had the release date of this novel in my Google calendar. I have to keep things straight so I do that sort of thing, plan the work, and work the plan as my Dad always said. I am not sure if she was talking about this particular novel, but it applies in almost all circumstances. Feel free to use this to your advantage and…

First Chapter from "Absolution"

Chapter One

Aberdeen, Maryland July 13, 2008, 11:20PM

FBI agent Megan McKenna knew something about being treated like garbage, and she knew what it felt like to be placed inside a hole in the ground. Her father had seen to that; he used a well out back of the house to discipline her, leaving her to shiver in the dark-sometimes for hours. But she was an adult now with a job to do, and she needed to keep her head in the game.

Rain pounded her drenched coat and gear.…
