Question Time at the Rox Music Festival

July 31st. 2016

Yesterday, five members of our CHINDI group and myself set up a bookstall at the Rox Music festival in Bognor Regis. It might sound odd, being as it was a music festival, but it worked. The six of us were there all day, and met some interesting people who stopped by the stall to chat. And we sold some books! It’s amazing what kind of questions we are asked. “Are you all authors?” was a common one. One visitor wanted to play a kind of one upmanship.…

Going International

I've been interviewed by Australian writer Rita Lee Chapman. We talked about a variety of subjects and the blog also includes an excerpt from Something So Divine and a blurb for my next, Shares The Darkness.

Poem: This Broken Road

I had been sadly blinded

by my sinful misery,

listening to Life pass by;

Would I, be able to see

the Love that You had bestowed?

I’m stuck on this broken road;

restore my vision today,

as my purpose has been slowed.

I was like Bartimaeus,

waiting for Christ to find me;

unto Him, I cried and called;

He lovingly met my plea.

He greeted me where I was,

shunned by the neighborhood crowd;

transfixed, I stood before…

Poem: Rooted and Grounded

Planted by the river of Living Waters,

I remain rooted and grounded in Christ;

He provides for my thirst, my hunger,

my Salvation and my everlasting Life.

With the foundation of Biblical Truth,

I’m rooted and grounded in the Holy Word;

the application of its principles gives

my heart hope with peace that’s assured.

When walking in holiness and rectitude,

I stay rooted and grounded in God’s love;

His Essence softly embraces me with…

Personal Update

Just a quick update to keep my followers in the cerebral loop. I'm working on a new book that is a stand-alone story but also book #2 in the End Time Series. It is based on an idea I've had and kept in the vault for years. The subject-- what lies after the end of existence.

As I've mentioned before the going is slow with this one due to the near…

Stories of Music, Vol. 1 by Holly E Tripp

Music evokes memories, of that everyone can agree, be they good, bad, happy or sad, a certain piece of music will mean something special to someone.

Holly Tripp’s love of music some would say was inborn, she was raised in a musical family, and loved hearing tales of her great grandmother’s magical childhood, dancing to the fiddle players’ music.

However a family…

Upside and downside

July 23rd. 2016

The sun is shining here in Bognor and I have a lousy viral infection. Can’t write, don’t want to write, and know that as an author I should ignore the pain and get on with it. But it shouldn’t be too long before I’m back in the game once the antibiotics kick in. You get days like that, don’t you? But what has been happening on the upside is that I have passed the 1000 subscribers mark! Time for a celebration. The next target must be 2000, but that’s…

Vampires and a Bad Ass Heroine: Review of The Crimson Calling

The Crimson Calling by Patrick C. Greene is a suspenseful, fast-paced tale featuring a strong, bad ass heroine, and lots of non-stop action. It puts a new spin on vampire lore by combining the old myths with the modern military.

In a world where just a few hundred vampires secretly remain after the eradication of 1666, Olivia–Liv–Irons is a young woman with…

Enjoy life!

Progress with my new novel is going slower than I anticipated. It’s hard to focus on storytelling during these long, lazy summer days. That’s okay… I feel content. It wasn’t always this way. Two decades ago, when I decided to focus my life energies on making it as a novelist, a slow-down like this would have driven me to the asylum. Thinking back, boy was I hungry to make it. Hour after hour, day after day, year after year… rain, snow, or sunshine, I would be in…
