Chakkavala is a Pali word which means solar system, with one sun. There are about one trillion solar systems around us and that means there are about one trillion suns if you can see them. We call this solar system the Milky Way. What about the huge space beyond the…

Compulsion - Review by Martha A. Cheves, Author of Stir, Laugh, Repeat; Think With Your Taste Buds; A Book and A Dish

Evil spirits and demons are capable of creating towns and villages as splendidly as those of devas, and assumed themselves the forms of male and female devas.
The earth-bound deities (Bhummadeva ) are the earth-gods that live in proximity to the earth, in remote regions like forests, mountains and shrines. Some deities cultivate their merits through human mediums. There is nothing wrong in this unless the mediums become greedy and begin to swindle people. The gods or the deities do…

Grasped at or clung to their dogmatic ideas, and because of ego, each person sticks with his/ her ideas and refuses to listen to the others. The real problems people from all over the world are facing are in the deep-down ache of the heart, which do not go anywhere. They are always with us. These ups and downs of life remain, regardless of whatever religion you may profess, whatever fame or wealth you may own.
People pray to almighty gods in times of fear for protection, not knowing…

It’s with pleasure that I’ll be signing books at the Oakhurst “Junction Plaza” shop of Branches Books and Gifts. I believe all book stores need a boost. Anything I can do to help promote these business places, by reaching out to readers, followers, and friends seems an important thing. I know that one cannot always give a gift of books, because sometimes it is such…

Last week was quite an eventful one for me and Pat, although not from a writing perspective. We purchased a park home at Pagham in West Sussex, and will be returning to England on October 1st. permanently. We have seven weeks to go and I know my writing will take a back seat during that time, even though I will make some inroads into it. The four days we spent in England were hectic, but fruitful. Bit like bringing a manuscript to fruition.
Someone spoke to me today saying…

Echoes of Mercy - Review by Martha A. Cheves, Author of Stir, Laugh, Repeat; Think With Your Taste Buds; A Book and a Dish
"As I said, I noticed you bring the flowers for your husband's grave," I was grappling for words to explain the situation. She nodded and I went on. "Shortly after you left, there was a disturbance in the graveyard.…

It all went to hell when the world’s greatest cyber warriors chose to wage war for themselves and not on behalf of the politicians that hired them. Hackers, they used to be called.
To Xera, William Waltz was a broken spy and a fugitive, manipulated by the Cyber Elite that ruled from Canada to Peru. If she helped him, the Cyberwar could be avoided . . . but the assassin named “Sheetrock” tracked them to use his bio-hacked body to delete them both.
The research on cyber…

Their humble characteristics are recognizable,
with a lifestyle lacking excess and opulence;
familiar with the idea of “sowing and reaping”,
they know their actions always have consequence.
Apostles of Christ examine ways of Kingdom building,
and are not tied to one specific church location,
for their daily needs are not hierarchically-based.

For years, she had said to me that my weight was problematic. She suggested various medications to help with the abnormalities in my system created by my poor eating habits, lack of exercise, increasing weight, and high stress level. However, my body reacted adversely to…
