Nearing the Finish Line

February is almost over and with it my book tour. I can hardly believe it. It's all gone by so fast. Todays stop is:

http://rebecca2007.wordpress.com/

It's an interview about how I write, how I create story, characters, and my experiences with agents and publishers.

Peanut Butter

Peanut butter as a remedy for writer's blocK? I talk about that and another tried and true method (for me, at any rate) of dealing with block on today's virtual book tour stop:

Fig Newtons seem to work, too.

The Dark Phantom

Isn't that a great name? It's the site where I'm appearing today on my virtual book tour for The River, By Moonlight:

On Writing

Today's stop on my virtual book tour is at:

http://www.thebookstacks.com/

It's the first guest blog I ever wrote, though not the first to get posted as it happens. In it, I talk about my writing life, how I started, where I've got to. If you have a minute to stop by, please do.

Part Two

Today's stop on my book tour is a continuation of yesterday's interview on families.com. Among other things, I talk about the recent writer's strike and my work with Ivana Trump. If you'd like to read it, just go to:

Book Tours

My Februrary royalty statement just arrived and I have to admit it's pretty depressing. But am I depressed? No. Why not? Because I'm on a virtual book tour, and on today's stop not only is there an interview on families.com but a terrific review of my book as well. So, instead of my spirits plummeting as low as the numbers, I'm on a high. There's nothing like a little praise to cheer a person up.

You can find the interview and review… Continue

Readings

Today's stop on my booktour is at: www.storycrafters.blogspot.com

It's a guest post about my recent experience at a Barnes & Noble reading I did for The River, By Moonlight. If you'd like to tell me your experiences, I'd love to hear them. I'm always eager to learn from my friends.

Blog Talk Radio

This morning I was interviewed by The Story Lady. It was a pretty wide-ranging interview, and I really enjoyed doing it. You can hear it at: blogradio.com/innerspace.

Sunshine

The sun is shining, and what a relief after that dismal day yesterday. It's not even that cold, 30 degrees, practically spring. And I'm going to go out in a few minutes and run all the errands I've been putting off, not wanting to stick my nose out the door when it was so awful. But before I do, I'm going to visit my stop on today's book tour:

It's a followup to that very wonderful review I got earlier in the week.

I'll… Continue

Rainy Wednesday

It snowed here most of yesterday and, at some point overnight, the snow turned to rain, heavy rain, delaying flights at airports this morning, snarling traffic, causing accidents. There's a flood warning in effect until 9 tonight. So what could be better than sitting comfortably at home, in my desk chair, traveling the internet on my virtual book tour?

Today's stop is at : http://beyondthebooks.wordpress.com/ where I talk about my publishing experiences for all three of my novels. If… Continue

Dallas

Today's stop on my book tour is an interview by Dorothy Thompson at:

http://www.thewriterslife.blogspot.com/

And it isn't at all about my novel, The River, By Moonlight, but about my time as a story editor on the television series Dallas. Re-reading it a few minutes ago brought back a lot of happy memories for me. I hope it does the same for you.

Monday again

After a weekend of catching up with everything I'd let slide for too long, today I start the second week of the tour for my novel, The River, By Moonlight. Today's stop is a review:

http://www.virtualwordsmith.blogspot.com/

It's another good one, by Mary Evelyn Lewis, and I'm very grateful and the sun is shining and the week is off to the best possible start.

Reviews

When a review is published in a newspaper, an author can take comfort in the fact that, if it's bad, the number of readers will generally be limited. If it's good, on the other hand, the possibility exists for the author to distribute it far and wide, to exploit it to the best of his/her ability. But when it's an internet review? When there's no way to tell how many people from how many places in the cyber world will read it? That's a daunting thought. And I found that this morning, because…

The Next Day

I was up far too late last night watching the primary returns come in. It was the most exciting television I've seen in a while (though I am looking forward to Lost tomorrow night). But no more dawdling. It's time to get going. It's the fourth day of my book tour and today I have an interview with Dorothy Thompson at:

http://www.americanchronicle.com/articles/51272

Please stop by.

Voting and After

Good afternoon -

It's Primary Day in NY and I just got back from voting. The crowd wasn't as big as I'd expected, no long lines or anything like that, but still a steady stream of people in and out of the booths. It was good to see Democracy in Action.

And now I've settled down in front of my computer and am going to follow myself around the web on my book tour for The River, By Moonlight. Today, I'm a guest at:…

On the Road Again

Today is the second day of my book tour for my novel, The River, By Moonlight, and I'll be appearing at:

http://bookmarketingbuzz.wordpress.com/

This interview is less about the book itself, than marketing it, as well as my work in television on Dynasty and Dallas. Please stop by if you get a chance.
