Greetings!
I am the founder for National Invisible Chronic Illness

I woke up Monday morning full of enthusiasm and yet worried about the weight of all I had to get over to the convention center. I packed up my folding cart, put 2 boxes on top of it with books and then my computer bag with wheels on tops of that (for "stuff" -- not the computer.)

I was able to sleep in a bit today to be over to the luncheon by noon. AWSA held the Golden Scroll Awards. The organization gives awards to publishers, editors, etc. It's a time to visit, eat, worship and hear a speaker as well as honor the awards recipients.

Thirty minutes later and I'm still sitting on the bench. The driver tells me he'll take me to another shuttle. He walks me around a block and points me to the shuttle area. I say, "You think I can push that cart of 150 pounds of luggage okay?" and he smiles and says, "Oh yeah, no problem." I look at him skeptically. I can just see the top bag falling off in the road I have to cross where the shuttles all go by. He says, "How about if I push it across the road?"
He gets it over the…

This is the first time in awhile I've actually had a (working) computer with me while traveling, so I thought I'd share with you a bit about attending ICRS. ICRS used to be called CBA-- Christian Booksellers Association. Now it's the International Christian Retail Show. (Some booksellers aren't particularly thrilled with that but hey, now the Veggie Tales booth is more legitimate for the trade show.)
Last year I was honored to be able to join and attend a 3-day meeting right before…
