The World Wants to See God

The world is waiting to SEE God. Especially in this country they have heard of God, and heard of his love, but since they have not SEEN it- they doubt. What the world needs is not another sermon about God’s love. They need to see it, feel it, touch it, and taste it. How? Through you, that is how. God told us to love each other. It is the second most important job we have. God wants us to be his hands and feet here on earth. We need to care for each other. Look out for each other. Think about each other- daily.

What good does it do anyone to tell them God loves them, then walk away and leave them in their misery? Why should they believe your worlds when they can only feel hurt and fear? Why should they believe you if you are looking down your nose at them? If you, who they can see- does nothing to help? Why would they believe your God- who they cannot see- will do anything? Touch people. Hold their hands, hug them. Be real to them, and God will become real to them.

One more thing. Stop being such a stuck- up sour puss. How can you expect anyone to want your God when he seems to make you a crab?? Jesus did not walk around snarling at people, holding protest signs in their faces. He sat and talked and shared a meal. We walked with people. He held them, touched them, listened to them, and healed their hurts. He loved them to himself. You can never hate people into God’s family. People are LOVED into the Kingdom of God.

If you REALLY care, love them. Stop hoping the sinners rot in hell, and start wanting them to find a God of love who can transform their lives. Love like God loved you when you were still in sin. Start to really be what you say you are. Let people see God. Hugs, Barbara
