Sowing the First Seeds

First, thanks to everyone who has expressed interest in this little adventure of the relaunch of my book. It is certainly a common problem among authors! And that's exactly why I am doing this. I thought we could all learn from an effort as we go.

As you know, my book Call to Liberty is a book about political philosophy. So, political events and conferences seem like a natural place to find potential customers and interested parties. A few weeks ago, I heard about a big progressive conference call Take Back America in Washington DC. It runs June 18-20. I didn't think I could go, but a friend offered to cover our hotel room, so I made the plans. I am going tomorrow, as is my volunteer "National Director". We'll have a table and network like crazy. My hope is to discover other political events we can schedule next fall, hopefully as a speaker rather than just an attendee.

In the meantime, I am looking for similar conferences where conservatives and moderates gather to talk politics. Balance is essential to our brand, and the connections are essential to good, balanced thinking.
I don't know how these networking links will fit into our overall plan for the fall launch, but I will be working on that launch plan on the plane. Watch for more later.
