Something About Me and My Book:
My promise to the world is to open the experience of the rapture of being alive to as many people as possible. As an author, I write poetry and politics in an effort to heal the American body politic so liberty can be optimized for the nation. I grew weary of the "liberal-conservative" split which seems to disenfranchise almost everyone who wants to seriously think about the challenges we face as a nation. My work is also opening a new proposal for a Free and Fair Elections Amendment to the US Constitution, which is the subject of my next book.

Strategic Goal

One of our team's strengths has been its enthusiasm, but we lived on enthusiasm too far--with a lack of consolidated direction. Today, we put together a better goal: Sell 10,000 books by the end of the year. It gives us a chance.

My contention is that a clear strategic goal is essential--everyone tells you that. But sometimes, an individual or group is so new and inexperienced that it simply needs time to explore and learn. That's where we have been. Well over six months of that now.… Continue

Library Effort

I made a few interesting discoveries today trying to open up avenues into my targeted markets. It turns out that the American Library Association (ALA) has national, regional, and state conferences all over the

country throughout the year. I am thinking of attending the five in Minnesota

and surrounding states this fall—just to see what can be gained from it. Has

anyone else tried this? If so, I’d love to hear.

ALA…

One Piece: Academic and Schools Market

Okay, sorry I have been away. Don’t think I am not paying attention to this! We attended the conference I spoke of, and the networking was outstanding. We connected to organizations, individuals, and legislators on

our signature Free and Fair Elections Amendment proposal, which is important to

help improve our public perception (as well as to the country as a whole, in my

view, but that’s a different blog; this one is on marketing). From a…

Seeds, Conferences, and Our Booth

Well, I figured I should report back on the “seed sowing” venture I took in Washington this week. The political conference I attended was a great opportunity to connect with people in the community of my likely

customers, and even more, in the leaders who might be able or willing to carry

more of my message out to other people. That’s good marketing because it is

good leverage. I’m not sure what will come of these seeds yet, but they are…

Sowing the First Seeds

First, thanks to everyone who has expressed interest in this little adventure of the relaunch of my book. It is certainly a common problem among authors! And that's exactly why I am doing this. I thought we could all learn from an effort as we go.

As you know, my book Call to Liberty is a book about political philosophy. So, political events and conferences seem like a natural place to find potential customers and interested parties. A few weeks ago, I heard about a big progressive… Continue
