The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

**Update** I am published now! but I still want to know about marketing... like, how do you make a book trailer?

I am not published yet but I always think of what life will be like when I am. How do you fund your marketing if you are a self-published author, or small published author, or any of the variations since NY published authors seem to be in the minority these days.

BiblioScribe.com provides a free online service where authors and publishers can still market their book in the same place that it can be purchased. BiblioScribe.com allows members to use free article and Press release tools that embed their book as part of the article. Readers then have the opportunity of locating and buying the subject book directly from Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, Powell’s, as well as corresponding UK and Canadian online booksellers right from the article page. Additionally, the Biblioscribe.com members’ public profile provides links to multiple books specified by the member as well as a link back to the member's website. Even if your book is not yet published, it is a great way of getting additional links to your website.

How does being small publisher published affect getting reviews?

Hi Kaycee,
I've published with 2 different small publishers. One charges a set up fee, the other one, no. #1 absolutely nothing in the way or promo other than putting your book on their web site. # 2 contacts book stores, prints with Lulu & Lightning Source, thereby getting the books on Amazon, etc. Of course, this isn't the only publisher who does this. You have to shop around, I discovered. Also this pub comes up with good, inexpensive promo things for book signings, etc. you can do yourself. Small magnets, postcards, etc. Lots of etc. there! Good luck. Pat
