Something About Me and My Book:
New Beginnings is set in the modern day Scottish Highlands. Alexandra Williams only wanted to visit her father's homeland when she planned her Scottish vacation. She hadn't reckoned on a couple of three hundred year old entities with plans of their own. Nor had she any inkling that her lifelong friend, Sammy Murphy, who had accompanied her would turn into someone Alex didn't know. This could have been a nightmare had it not been for her kinsman, John MacDonald, whom she met in Fort William, Scotland. The immediate attraction between these two promises a bright future in spite of all the distractions.
This is the second printing of New Beginnings and I am delighted with the lovely cover designed by cover artist, Barry Vanover.
For some reason the book title is not showing on my home page picture. Operator error, possibly.

You said, "May I post the rewiew you did for New Beginnings on Authorsden? I signed up there---and I'd better get to doing something on this site too, probably! I'm reading your Frugal Book Promoter. Makes sense so far, and easy to read. An organizational trainer would help. Is there such a thing??"
Yes, of course. I'd love to have you utilize the review at Authors Den. (-;
Glad you are finding The Frugal Book Promoter useful. As you know, the book is organized into what you can do very early on in the writing process, between the time you sign a contract and you hold your book in your hot little hands and after your book is published. Of course, any one of the ideas can be used at any time. The reason you found no organizational charg per se is that, though I tried everything in that book (yes, I did!!) no one else should have to do so. That's one of the reasons I wrote it. So they can avoid it. Readers should pick and choose what fits their personalities and their pocketbooks and what might work best for their own title. Each author will need to organize slightly differently.
I have to tell you, though, that there is a check list in my Frugal Editor. That process is more easily put into a line like little yellow ducks. (-;
By very best to you. Happy promoting--and editing!

It was great hearing from you. There's nothing like putting words on paper and (hopefully) having those words mean something to others, too.

I don't know if you self-published your books or not, but if so, maybe you can give me some pointers.

I was wondering if you could give me some pointers about promoting and marketing my book(s). I seem to have hit a brick wall and marketing seems to be my weak spot. I have read books about marketing books, and tried to follow everything that John Kremer and Dan Poynter have suggested, but I'm just not getting anywhere. If you hasve any suggestions, I would welcome them with open arms.

Also, if I were to send you a copy of my first book (self-published) would you be interested in reading it and commenting on it? No rush, just when (and if) you would have time.

You are the first to send me a direct message. I'm not much of a letter (email) writer, paertly because I am still working. But I am retiring (again) in September and maybe I'll have more time for chatting. Marketing is my weak suit, also. I just never seemed to make much headway and I tried just about everything I heard about.

I'm working on a children's book now that's in the mystery/suspense genre. I ran across something I submitted in a writing course I was taking years ago and it sounded sop good, I'm expanding that premise into a children's book. I'm thinking it might be written for two age groups, perhaps giving me two avenues when it is finished.

Thanks for the invitation, Pat. Sure do look good up there in your Scotish tartan and all. Think it will make us smarter in here? I'm banking on it.

Hi Pat,
Boy, your picture is nice at the booksigning. I need to set one up but am a bit shy, (in person) not in writing though. LOL

I need all the luck I can get on the sequel. I beg to differ with the guy who said the second book is easier.

Smiles,
Pee Wee

Pat, I haven't been inviting everyone nor have I had the time to check lots of people out. It was obvious from your picture,though, that you are a writer. It will be fun to get to know you.

Best,
