New Book Release

Two years ago I wrote a poem called "GI JOES AND ARMY MEN" that described my feelings as a new military mother. I felt mixed emotions when putting my son on the plane for Fort Jackson, South Carolina. I felt proud of his decision/calling to serve his country! I also felt fear...

I knew I could either fall apart and cry all the way through the next eight years of his service, or rely on the Lord. I chose the latter.

As a Christian author, I felt a calling to write something that would help other military families draw closer to the Lord. Thus, Secure the Fort (And Remain Under God) A Military Mother's Message to America was born.

Today is July 4th...the day our country celebrates its freedom. I did not plan it this way, but today is the official release date for my book! I think God just gave me that little gift in the journey.

I pray this book (that includes over 35 contributing authors' stories of faith in the field, patriotic poetry, military themed devotions, and much more) will be a resource that brings those who read it closer to the One who can handle all their needs. I pray it renews a sense of patriotism in the hearts of its readers. I give God all the glory for any positive outcome we may encounter after its release...He is already opening doors for our military chaplains' use of the book!
