For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers
Four days after the launch of my controversial assisted suicide novel Whale Song, it made Amazon'ca's bestseller list. What a thrill! And I have been told that the first print run has nearly sold out. Then to top it all off, some major Hollywood film producers requested to see Whale Song and a package was sent out 2 weeks ago. I think that makes about half a dozen Hollywood film companies interested.
I am in 'mega marketing mode' with 14 signings and events this month alone, 9 more next month--all part of a 3-month book tour. Someone here posted a chatter, I think, about having their publisher book their signings...and their distributor. Uh, that is something every author needs to be proactive about. Asking for a book signing is not difficult if you have a great product. Do you? :) Then call up your local bookstores, tell them about your exciting book and ask when you can come in. I could have a signing any day of the week if I did this in my city alone. So can you! :)
Now on to make another bestsellers' list...hehe.
P.S. For those who'd like to pick up a copy of Whale Song, it is currently on sale at Amazon.ca and Amazon.com.
