Print-on-Demand companies, Comparison, recommendations?

I will be using a Print on Demand service for most of the books we'll publish...

I was considering using BookSurge, because it is the one most closely associated with Amazon...but I ordered a few books that use BookSurge, and was not impressed with the quality of the look and feel of the books.

Have you used/compared the different print-on-demand options?

Any recommendations, based on the quality of the final product?

Comment by Judi Lake on May 4, 2007 at 6:52pm: I agree with John, Molly -- I guess because I'm big on customer service and relationships, I can't recommend Lightening Source enough -- I have used them often with many many pods and they are wonderful and even catch my screw-ups! (smile - last month I had the flu and did a doozy of a mistake which luckily they caught...) The rep I use even quality controls each of the books that go out on each of my orders and where can you find better.
