A Book Etched On My Memory

Today my heart has been totally revitalized by the discovery of the 25th anniversary of Peggy Warren’s “Very Much a Woman’s Book.”  Y’see I’m the friend who was lucky enough to get these writings, before publication, on my fiftieth birthday, a time in my life that was very difficult. I had no words for the pain I was feeling, but in Peggy’s poems I found not only words, but comfort, true connection and sometimes even relief from the pain.
