Well, dear readers, in preparation for my upcoming writing class I set out to write a short story. I completed it a few weeks ago. Then I had an idea for a play, and I was able to complete that about a week ago. I've been getting more excited about starting my class... and then...

My computer's hard drive crashed.

Quit.

Kaput!

Sooo, thank goodness I have access to the short story and the play via email which I sent to a good friend of mine to read and provide feedback. But the novel I had been working on, the first 25 pages of materials and all of my research? Gone.

I'm planning to take the machine to a repair shop, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that I can get the data back (the novel draft, all my personal photos, all of my electronic music files, etc etc.) but no guarantees.

Of course I'll be going to my class regardless of the 'equipment' issue I'm having at home, but it was an unexpected setback.

Thanks for listening. :-)
