Epiworld

In 2099, Britain is ruled by a robotic police state and most humans live in dire poverty, controlled by chips called probes inserted into their necks at birth. Some, like Travis, have somehow the escaped the probes, and run in gangs trying to dodge the law. It is a world where all diseases have been eradicated and those found to have incurable genetic disorders are put away in institutions, out of sight.

Then one day Travis suffers an epileptic seizure that's about to turn his world upside down, sending him on a journey through time to seek out the man he needs to destroy in order to save his world.

This book was inspired by my personal experience of epilepsy, with which I was diagnosed in 1999. I came up with the idea of my main character, Travis, suffering a tonic-clonic (grand mal) seizure and waking up in a different place and time.
