The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

Today I approved the final galley for the cover. It looks awesome. We tried a few different variations but finally found one that I think will blow away the competition (hopefully) I asked my cover artist for a recomendation for someone to format the manuscript appropriate for all the POD devices. I'm waiting to hear back from her before I begin my own blind search. I'd much rather use her resources since I'm so satisfied with the cover. Should have an answer soon, then it's time to purchase the ISBN. Starting next week I'm going to begin the buzz of the book on the Kindle social networks. Hopefully I'll stir a lot of interest before the book comes out so when it does sales will soar.

Thanks Brian. I'm planning to get my book AFTER on all the digital devices so I'll need the ISBN. This is my first attempt to publish electronically. If you've read my blog you know my publishing history. I'm trying to build audience anticipation with this one, so when I it goes live the audience will be there.

Neil. Congratulations on getting so far. You don't really need an ISBN for eBooks on Amazon's Kindle but if you want to sell on Barnes and Noble, Sony and IBookstores you do. The best way to achieve the later is via Smashwords.com where the ISBN is free. I have 27 eBooks and I promote on both Kindle and Smashwords. The main thing with successful Kindle and Smashwords publishing is to follow the formatting rules. Good luck. Brian Lawrenson
