Hi John,
I just found out about this network through my sister, Marsha Randolph. I wrote a book called "Records & Recollections: Early Black History in Prince George's County, Maryland." It is an overview of the African American experience in the county from the colonial period through the early 20th century. The book was the result of a major preservation initiative conducted by county government to preserve both its historic buildings and narrative history. The county's Black History Project was just one subject area out of a larger historic preservation effort. The book I wrote was a result of about 6 years of research which had to be condensed into 120 pages, including pictures. No copies remain other than the few I have left and I'd like to sell about ten of my remaining copies. I'm also working on some other books, as well as a play. Presently, I'm the webmaster of another historic site, Poplar Hill on His Lordship's Kindness: http://www.poplarhillonhlk.com - I hope everyone will visit us on the web.
Hi, thanks for the welcome. I checked out your blog, and liked it very much. (I'm now following you). My blog is not nearly as developed, yet. I used it as a palette for some of my writing ideas. Right now I'm posting chapters from a new novel, All About Me, quite regularly. Feel free to check it out: http://davraham.com
Hi, Kate. Thanks so much for your message. I'm very interested in your blog, especially with my second novel coming out at the end of this month. So I will definitely be staying in touch, and I really appreciate your offer of assistance. Hope you're having a good holiday weekend!
