I remember as a young reader that the "world"--i.e., the setting--of a book was as important to me as the story or characters. One of the biggest challenges to me as a writer is keeping the story line in mind as I develop the "world" of a novel. Does anyone else find this true? And what does it mean, if anything? Chuck.
Hi, Adele: I sent a note with the "friend" request, but it was limited to 200 characters, so it may seem abrupt. Thanks for the welcome. I assume you are a writer. What style? I've decided to work in epic Fantasy for a while--at least until my trilogy is finished. Chuck.
I appreciate the welcome. I'd like to offer any interested authors the opportunity for either an interview for my blog, or a review of their book, or both. Interviews only take a little while, reviews take more time!
So far I have seven author interviews, and four book reviews. I'm just getting started! I truly enjoy interviewing authors. It's a joint promotion strategy that works well for both of us, and I love learning about my fellow authors.
Thanks for the welcome, Adele! It's funny you mention the Ren fairs, I'm doing a signing tomorrow at a baby-Ren at my favorite bookstore! If you're in the Phoenix, AZ area this weekend, stop into Dog-Eared Pages from 12-4, they do it every year and it's FREE!
Sorry I'm so slow in responding. I manage a hotel in Mammoth and it.....consumes me. I've get two days off a week and that's it. I usually have to respond to calls from the hotel during that time as well. I'm in the process of developing a new web site, www.theelorianconscript.com and that is taking a lot of time. Plus, I've enrolled in a marketing program to help me better understand the ins and outs of Internet.
Still connecting with folks like you is also very important...so please accept my apology.
Thank you, Adele. I don't have a ministry, just a message. It is my hope that people will develop their own relationship with Christ and not look to another man for that relationship. Thank you for informing me about your editing business. I will keep you in mind.
Thanks for contacting. Are you a line editor, or a story editor, or both? And what do you charge? My daughter lives in Duluth, GA. See www.fandresen.com. My next book is historical fiction.
