Hello, I'm Bert Martinez, I'm looking to network with success minded authors. If you would like my free report 30 Strategies for Selling More Books just fill out the form below. I look forward to networking with you and if there is anything that I can help you with please do not hesitate to contact me.
Hi, Tamara.
I thought that you might be interested to know the honor that was recently given to my book of Old Testament stories for adults and young adults--HOW OFTEN WOULD I HAVE GATHERED YOU; STORIES FROM THE OLD TESTAMENT AND RELATED SOURCES FOR LATTER-DAY SAINTS. On Saturday (Sept. 15) at the League of Utah Writers annual "Roundup" in St. George, my book was given the "Our History--Our Heritage Publication Award"(golden quill). The award was given in the category of religious nonfiction. :-) Needless to say, I am excited for this honor.
I have started an LDS authors group and wonder if you would like to join. I don't yet know what our group will do, but I sure we can share ideas and give support.
I was wondering if you could give me some pointers about promoting and marketing my book(s). I seem to have hit a brick wall and marketing seems to be my weak spot. I have read books about marketing books, and tried to follow everything that John Kremer and Dan Poynter have suggested, but I'm just not getting anywhere. If you hasve any suggestions, I would welcome them with open arms.
Also, if I were to send you a copy of my first book (self-published) would you be interested in reading it and commenting on it? No rush, just when (and if) you would have time.
Thanks so much for the invitation and your nice comments. We look forward to being part of the network!

Tamara. Oh, how great to find another LDS author. Your book sounds entreating. Thanks for accepting my offer of friendship. I am going to Rexburg tomorrow where I will be doing a booksigning at Byu-Idaho Education Week.
I hope you will keep in touch. We have much in common. I got rejected by all those same publishers--and more. American Book Publishing finally took a chance on me, and I hope they are not sorry. My book is more than twice as large as any book they have published and thus carries a higher pricetag than they like. But it has proven to be popular, even in a non-Old Testament gospel doctrine class year. I pushing for seminary publicity because they seminaries will all be studying Old Testament during the next school year.
Best,
Val

I like your title idea. I'll have to throw that in the mix.
