Bee Balms & Burgundy by Nelson Pahl is a story of finding love from friendship, and learning that we are always changing.

Nick May, an entrepeneur is disenchanted with his own life and girlfriend, and believes he won't ever marry or believe in true love. On his way out on a trip home, he dumps his girlfriend and kicks her out. From there he heads home and soon ends up on the porch of Mia, a childhood friend. Over the course of the novel he learns that he is more than capable of love.

I have to be honest and say it took more than one chapter to get me into this novel. I believe the chapter of introduction, and readjusting to reading from a male perspective were challenging for me. Once I got past chapter one, I was soon drawn in. The colorful descriptions and vibrant argument that take place in the second chapter had me laughing and gasping all at once.

It was a very quick read from there, and had a most satisfying ending. I enjoyed settling in and taking the journey with Nick.

I reccommend picking up Bee Balms & Burgundy to cuddle up by the fire with. A nice heartwarming piece to read while sipping some whine (or burgundy).
