From a marketing viewpoint a website must deliver precisely the information a reader wants. Those seeking a specific product or piece of information are not looking for entertainment.

Sitting through a flash video, no matter how slick, cool or well produced will simply be annoying if they are seeking something else. Good website design is built around what a customer wants and needs, not simply being pretty.
