I entered the synopsis and first two chapters of
Midnight Hours in the OWFI (Oklahoma Writers Federation, Inc) contest in the unpublished manuscript mystery/suspense category. Not only did Midnight take 2nd place, but the comments from the judge, who sent a short critique, really encouraged me. He/she wrote comments such as the following:
I'll be honest - I love this story! Your characters are believable; the plot is different; the style is fresh; and I loved the strong, gripping opening!
I made few comments because there wasn't much to add. It is well written, has that suspense and even romance
Two comments at the beginning of the novel were very complimentary:
Super opening sentence. We preach a gripping opening. Thank you.
Wow!
The novel comes out the last of June, so publishing is a good decision.
