To get your How-to on writing up an ad and selling your book on Craig's List, you need to email me at sjeditor@yahoo.com. I have a PDF I can send you but I can't send it unless you give me your email address. Thanks for all the responses; it's been amazing to hear from so many!
Okay, it's Monday after a very demanding week and weekend, I forgot to give you my email address. Sorry to have to make a second post to ask for the PDF. :(
Ok, I think I've heard from a couple of hundred people on this posting... what an amazing response! Now, I'd like to hear if your postings on Craig's List helped you actually sell any books and/or put together bookings or events, and how that came about.
Me tooo! Thank you! I had thought of using Craigs list but didn't know the best way to get results!
Thank you so much! I am sending to your email now!
Abundant Blessings

This posting as of June 2009... Yes yes yes the PDF about writing up an ad for Craig's List for your book is still available! Just email me at sjeditor@yahoo.com with your email address. Probably better if you do NOT post your email addy on the board here...
And for those who have said they want "more" - this PDF is just a non-techy instruction sheet on how to post your Craig's List ad, and some tips on doing that across several states/Craig's List boards. If you're technically inclined, this sheet probably won't give you any more info that what you already know how to do.
Thanks again for all the responses, great to hear your varied experiences!

Dear Shannon,
As a former U.S. Capitol attendant, I offer you Senate Parking. A 90 K word novel about a multicultural crew of parking lot attendants who operate an escort service from the Senate lots. A good look at the underbelly of our law making process. Senate Parking can be listened to at www.NewFiction.com
“Hill Intros” is the brainstorm of attendants unable to obtain employment within the confines of the Capitol. Senate Parking is the story of power structures, on a personal and national level. Done from the perspective of workers who see themselves without much chance of ‘making it’ in a culture of power drivers, Washington’s backdrop provides a tension all its own.
This book concerns every kind of shady deal for which the political arena is famous. Senate Parking is full of anecdotes which let freedom ring. I can provide you with a synopsis or with the complete manuscript – whatever you like. Either way, I’ll be in touch.
Sincerely,
