Something About Me and My Book:
I enjoy my life as an author and public speaker to writers groups and women's groups. I teach writing workshops regularly and present at writers’ conferences. After four years as a full-time freelance ghostwriter with 10 books to my credit for an international clientele, I focused on writing Christian and historical fiction, as well as some contemporary women's fiction.

My works of fiction include Rebekah Redeemed, Book 1 in the Touched by the Savior Christian fiction series The Fisherman’s Wife, Book 2, Shelter from the Storm, and contributing author to Flash Tales: An Adventure in Words.

Tools and Tips: What Every Writer Needs to Know to Go "Pro" is my next release as a reference for writers to keep them organized and productive. Available November 2011.

Coming in 2012: Christian fiction series, Book 3 - Miriam's Room (about John Mark's mother whose home held the Upper Room), Book 4 - Abigail of Tarsus (a story about Paul’s sister), and Book 5 - Exile (about Joseph and Mary’s escape to Egypt with the baby Jesus). I’m also working on the second draft of a sequel to Shelter from the Storm (suspense, women’s fiction).

I first got the bug to write from a high school English teacher. I’m one of those odd people who enjoyed and preferred essay questions on tests all through high school and college.

Both my husband and I are writers. He writes a regular column weekly and in addition is a freelance editor. I love having an editor in the family when it comes time to polishing manuscripts for submission. We have six children, four grandchildren, and a dog

Everyone needs a hand up now and then

One of the biggest challenges in being an author and a speaker is to keep writing and preparing, but split my time between promoting myself and doing the work. Today I'm feeling like a hand up would be a good thing.

Last week was high energy with a speaking engagement to a Inspirational Writers Alive chapter in Amarillo, Texas. We had a great time and I spoke on "Finding Balance: Time Management for the Productive Writer.

I spent time lining up appointments to get Rebekah Redeemed into more Hastings stores and will be setting up a book signing soon at our local Marel Books. Wish me luck - if it goes well, then my book could be recommended for consideration in the Mardel stores.

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas

This is my favorite time of the year. This marketing network is such a great place to meet other authors and publishers. I'm not as active here as I'd like to be, but learn a lot from all of you and wanted to just wish you all a wonderful holiday season and New Year.

I hope that everyone has a great 2010. Keep on writing.
Dianne

Book signing at Mardel Christian & Education Supply

Hi everyone,

If you're in or around Amarillo, Texas, come to my book signing for Rebekah Redeemed at our Mardel store located in the Western Crossings shopping center (formerly Western Plaza) at I-40 and Western on Saturday, May 23, 2009 from 11:00am - 2:00pm.

If I do well at this book signing, then they will recommend my book to the corporate office and I could have my book placed in all of the Mardel stores.

Hope to see some of you there,
Dianne G. Sagan

Rebekah Redeemed launched in January

My book Rebekah Redeemed launched in January and is doing well in the first couple of months, but there are many who haven't read it yet. The novella has reviews on amazon.com, as well as other websites and blogs.

Synopsis:
