Merry Meet! Just wanted to say hello. I have a new book out this year, "Brothers of the Sun: Pagan Men's Mysteries."

I've finished the book I wrote about on 13 June.  "The Mask of Freya," set in the French Revolution of 1848, is about a small, secret sect of pagan nature worshipers, devotees of the Cat-Goddess Freya, suffering persecution by governmental and religious Establishment officials.  Their struggle for religious freedom is complicated by the chaos of the Revolution, a case of double murder, and attacks by the forces of Satan and the Fire God Loki.  Fortunately, some of the pagans can magically turn into animals, the better to carry on their quest for freedom.  There's a flashback to the days of Attila the Hun, a good guy....  On sale by Amazon.com for $14.45; the e-book edition, $1.25, is for sale on Kindle, Smashwords, and Nook.  Karl Larew

On the other hand, I have for sale on Amazon, Kindle, Smashwords and nook two spoofs of vampire/werewolf/James Bond stories, "Bad Vampires" and "Nazi Werewoofs."  I don't know if this forum wants spoofs.  They aren't really about pagans, but maybe some of you might be interested.

I am working on the final (?) draft of a novel about pagans, some of them with supernatural powers, during the French Revolution of 1848 as they struggle for survival against the official religion of France (Christianity) on the one hand and Satanism on the other.  Title is "The Mask of Freya."  Wish me luck.  I'm trying to avoid writing in a stilted, mid-19th century manner just because the book is about mid-19th century people!

I’m working

on a new book, a collection of poems; I have several young poets joining me in this collection.
The book will be poems and a few essays relating only to the suffering and torment endured by those who were treated badly by the church, the inquisition and the governments of the middle ages, on through today’s times.  Of course, not all suffering resulted in death, and not all torment attacked the body physically. I’m interested in works that speak to the mental, social and emotional torture as well as the physical.
It is my hope that each piece in the book will bring chills, visions, tears and shudders to the reader. I’ve written a few pieces myself, that have caused me copious tears while writing them, and I’m looking for more work that will do the same.
My arrangement with all my contributors is this: they will share in the proceeds of the book according to the word count of their contribution, against the word count of the entire manuscript. That is, if a poet’s work encompasses 250 words, and the manuscript holds a total of 2500 words, the poet will receive 10% of the book’s revenue. Royalties are received quarterly, and will be distributed in that way, by me, personally.

If you have an interest in being a part of this project, please let me know by direct email, to deliathecrone@yahoo.com, and tell me, in that email that you heard about the project on the Book Marketing Network. I will want to see samples of your work before I can commit to accepting anything.
