Something About Me and My Book:
I am a mother of three who lives in Baltimore now. I grew up in New York and have travelled a bit across the USA. I love science fiction, fantasy, romance and have all three within my own stories.

I have just finished writing my first fiction novel entitled "Nightbird, Lady of Shadows: The Coming of The King". It's the first of a trilogy and describes a Destroyer of universes called Extinction. In the first book, a survivor from one of those universes, called Mortus, manages to reach safety in an alternate dimention, where he calls upon the help of a super hero group called Serenity's Song. He falls in love with the leader of the group, Nightbird, because she is that universe's version of his wife. He decides to use sex magic on her to make her fall for him and at the same time, creates the weapon that will destroy Extinction. She does her best to resist his advances while at the same time tries to get him to ask for more help than just her. The second book, entitled "Nightbird, The Lady of Shaodws: Destruction and Changes" is a continuation of the story and starts with Mortus dying and Nightbird having to fend for herself without him. At the same time, she is emmersed within the intrigues of the Court of the Moon of One Thousand Worlds, a coalition of alien worlds that is bent on finding and destroying Extinction. The leader of said coalition has other plans than what Nightbird expects, however, and ends up killing half the group. The third book "Nightbird, Lady of Shadows: To Fight Against Extinction" starts with Nightbird taking over said coaltion and going after Extinction despite opposition from all around her.

I am trying to find a publisher and/or an agent and so far have found very little by way of help. I KNOW this series will sell. I have a following here in Baltimore already, who are waiting for me to get it in print and so far have had very little luck.

I know several people who have gone with them and so far, I've had no complaints. You can find my book at authorhouse.com…

Does anyone know...

of a supposedly traditional publishing company called Strategic book publishing? They told me they'd love to work with me if I fork over 895.00! Isn't a traditional publishing company supposed to pay YOU for YOUR work, not the other way around? Am I missing something here?

Any help would be appreciative! I REALLY need to get published and I've hit a wall that I'm not sure how to climb!

The book sounds fascinating. A nice mixture of sf and fantasy. There are a few parallels in my own trilogy, which is kinda cool.

As you're finding, the easy part is writing the books. Publishing can be a bear. If anyone is asking for money to publish your book, they aren't a traditional press. But, subsidy presses can be great if you just want to get your work in print and distribute to friends, family, and local fans. It all depends on your goals.
