Something About Me and My Book:
I've been working on a short memoir for over a year. I also write poems and I have some collections on lulu. I am getting into writing fiction and improving my writer's voice. I'm twenty years old and I have been writing on and off since I was a teenager. Some of my favorite authors are Steven King, Chuck Palahniuk, Margaret Atwood, Janet Fitch, Wally Lamb, and C.S. Lewis. I am currently reading Duma Key by Stephen King. I've been going the self-publishing route and let me tell you it's difficult. I am learning more about finding a literary agent and how to get a book published by traditional book publishers. My big dream is to have a book accepted by a literary agent and then published by Penguin Books or another good publisher. I have high aspirations. I try not to compromise my individual writing voice though I seek to improve my writing in every way.
I hope I can find some support in my goals.
