For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers
This book is about the reasons you are alive. Alive for a Purpose simply means that life is worth living as long as there is breath in your nostrils and that you should be searching for the reason that will make you achieve greatness and fulfilment. For every achievement or accomplishment in life, there is a purpose and nothing else. No individual, group, organisation, nations, church, countries or tribe can succeed without purpose.
Everything in the world is created for a reason. Nothing that He (GOD) made was for nothing; this explains why when you cut down a tree, you can get furniture out of it or out of rocks can you find gold or oil from the sea. How much more man that God created in his image.
When you loose your purpose, life becomes uncontrollable and unbearable. You feel like dead even while still alive. Myles Munroe (1992) wrote in his book The Pursuit of Purpose that “history shows that the value of life decreases and the quality of existence diminishes when a generation loses its sense of destiny and purpose.” This is true because everything in life that works is connected. Take a minute and look around you whether this is true. If your life is not working then you probably are disconnected. Purpose achieves because it gets you connected to who you are and explains to you the why you have been created.
We are all at different stages in life and whatever stage you find yourself, I believe you want the best out of life. The key to changing yourself effectively must first come from a change of your perception. If you are living a life of doubt and fear, then it is going to be difficult to live on purpose life. God’s code of effective living evolves around his basic principles for our lives. Developing personality and character ethic lays the key to effective illustration of God s original intention for our lives. Things like integrity, humility, patience, simplicity shapes your character. Others like positive attitude, determination, perseverance, and courage shape our personality. As you begin to see things from the inside out rather than the outside in, what seem impossible starts to come alive. Therefore, if you want to possess what God has freely given you, you must begin to change the central part of you into believing in the basic principles God has set in the world. Based on these principles, this book throws more light on developing new levels of thinking that will help you to discover and rediscover purpose, fight through its challenges to attain new heights and dimension in your work, personal and spiritual growth and even in your marriage, because, just as Albert Einstein puts it, “the significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them.”
In this book, three themes wolves their way through as you read its pages.
The first is about discovering your purpose in life. God’s purpose for your life is already inside you from the day you were born. It is there waiting to be discovered, so whether you are young or old, if you want to live a life of reason, you must first uncover what is covered in your life. The question too many of us ask is, what do I need to discover before I can achieve? This is what this book set to unleash. It is filled with people who have already discovered their purpose and living the on-purpose life.
The second is about re-discovering your purpose in life. The word re-discovery simply means that you had something but you lost it. There are people who have actually discovered their God given purpose in life but due to one reason or another, have missed their calling again. Whether it is because of life’s obstacles, stress, depression or even the misunderstanding of the differences between your vision and ambition, this book seeks to bring you back online again. Earth has no sorrow God cannot solve. There are no problems or limitations God cannot fix for you. You can rediscover Gods original idea for your life.
The third theme will lead you to get to your next level. Many people ask the question, when I have discovered or re-discovered Gods calling for my life, how then do I achieve? It is by always seeking to go to the next level. It is striving from living in the familiar always that will lead you into transformation. God has given you a talent or passion for something not just to bury it but to do something worthy with it. It takes divine wisdom, appreciating your talents and passion, and negotiating accordingly.
Life is a journey from Gaps to significance and it is what you do in the gap that determines how significant your life will become. It is only by working and making peace with your purpose that you fill this gap. This book combines sound Christian biblical principles with stories of men and women who are dwelling on purpose to achieve significance in life; because what is life without a purpose.
As you read this book, my prayer for you after every chapter is this, may you be restored in your soul, revived in your spirit, refreshed in your body and released into Gods divine calling for your life.
