Something About Me and My Book:
“Two Angel Wings" is the story of a my journey through Harrington Rod surgery for severe scoliosis. The book was written by my mother, Arlene Webster and is dedicated to my best friend Stephanie Stanich. Steph was there every step of the way and although she is no longer with us, (she was one of the flight attendants killed in the Eastern Airlines flight 401 crash in the Everglades in 1972) she always was and always will be my best friend.
I was fortunate enough have the book published before my mom passed away from Alzheimer’s. I placed it in her hands and she knew that it was finally in print. My intent at the time was to publish it for her, but now that friends and family have read it and have told me how much they enjoyed it, I would like to start sharing it with others.

Arlene Webster has always loved writing. Her first published short story was for the Lutheran Magazine in June, 1965 entitled, Step Lightly, You Walk on Wonder. A second short story, In Defense of Christmas Cards, was published in December, 1967. Arlene began working as a columnist for the Destin Log in 1981. Her Life Is column ran for almost twelve years with nearly 600 columns. She also wrote feature articles and contributed to a food column for the paper. She then worked for several years for the Santa Rosa Sun and the Shreveport Senior Scene writing her Golden Years column. Arlene, at the young age of 84 and with the help of her daughter, finished her first novel, Two Angel Wings.

Miracle Cottage by Arlene Webster

Miracle Cottage is a story that will make one weep, both in sadness and in joy. It is the story of how Arlene went on with her life after her husband's death from lung cancer. She did not let her grief and pain of loss take over her life, but instead she proceeded to carry out the dream of building the cottage she and Fred had planned. And she built the cottage by herself, with God's love and Fred's memory. Now isn't that an inspiration to all of us? Arlene Webster was my mother-in-law and her… Continue

Two Angel Wings

Parent love is always loyal and is much deeper than any other love, even brotherly love, or love that is shared with that someone special. I have read this book and felt the agony of the parents during the surgery process. My heart went with to them during their endless wait in the hospital waiting room. A great mother, daughtor story. Surely you should share with us this touching story.

Just published and available for sale on amazon.com, Miracle Cottage, by Arlene Webster. It is the inspirational story of how my mother continued on with her life after my father's death from lung cancer, and how, with faith and courage, she built the dream cottage she and my father had plannded.
