- Something About Me and My Book:
- I am Sonica Jackson, I live in Atlanta Georgia and I am the author of two self-published books; In Due Time, Part One and So Shall It Be. In Due Time, Part One is based on four characters: Chanelle, Reggie, Desiree and Charles. They all reside in Atlanta and have to face issues in their lives that many African American readers can relate to. So Shall It Be is a continuation of that story. They are both print-on-demand books and can be ordered at the websites of Barnes and Noble and Amazon.com. But in a few months, readers will have the pleasure of simply buying the books straight off the shelf instead of having to order it. Right now, I'm in the process of working on my third novel (which will probably be a favorite among many readers) as well as continuing to do my best to promote my first two books while still working a full-time job to keep bread on the table until I'm truly able to work for myself. Writing is an art that I've always loved to do. When I was a teen, writing was nothing but a hobby but as I became an adult, I realized that I needed to be serious with the talent that God has blessed me with. Sometimes, I do spoken word and I have had a poem published in an anthology called Dimensions of Thought several years ago, which is something that I'm proud of because it was my first published work. I thank God for what I have accomplished so far and I'm believing in Him to provide me with even more opportunities so that I can be a blessing to someone else.
