Creating A Book Trailer

 I spend my days searching for ways to market The Time Of My Life to a broader audience. I had been hearing about book trailers, but only embarked on the process after reading an article in the March issue of The Writer Magazine (www.WriterMag.com)

I went with their 5 steps on how to make a book trailer. Luckily I had the windows movie making software installed, so it was just a matter of dragging photos and adding text-which took a couple of…

Review of A Satan Carol, by Alan Steven Kessler

A Satan Carol by spiritual horror author Alan Steven Kessler combines elements of the macabre and parody/satire to explore the concepts of free will and evil. Not having read in this horror subcategory before, I was intrigued when I received a copy of this ebook for review.

The story begins in 1848 Ireland during a time of intense famine. A poor, nearly starved boy…

Poem: Inward and Outward Man

Although I don’t have a split personality,

it's certainly interesting to see a new way

of looking at myself… in terms of duality.

I seem to be in conflict with God’s plan,

dealing with struggles of an imbalanced stand

that occurs between my inward and outward man.

Even though my outward man is perishing,

the unseen inward man is under a daily renewing –

provided The Word, I’m still consuming.

Therefore, with the…

Poem: Supremacy of Christ

Behold the first-born of creation,

One to Whom was given all dominion.

He is worthy of our heart-felt praise;

therefore, honor Him, all of your days!

Guard yourself against ungodly deceptions;

increase your spirit’s awareness and perception.

We possess the skills to repeatedly circumvent

the problems of life… via our skills and talents.

Since we’ve been made in the Almighty’s…

Poem: By His Grace

By His grace, we are wonderfully saved;

know that we shall live… beyond the grave.

Through Salvation’s gift, our sins are waived

and upon His palms, our names are engraved.

Faith doesn’t spring from human nature,

nor is it something that we can nurture.

In His efficacious grace, we can be sure -

for Truth is borne out, within the Scriptures.

Out Of The Darkness....Came An Incredible Light

OUT OF THE DARKNESS..CAME AN INCREDIBLE LIGHT

In an enviroment of absolutely no concept of time and space existed a tremendously powerful force.  The elements that formed the veil of existence had to bow down and away as this force passed by.  Movement lightning quick, without hesitation and millions of light years were passed through in micro seconds.  No sounds were heard,because there were no ears to hear, nor was the awesome force looked upon, because there were no eyes to see. …

Wounded Spirits a fantastic read!

I loved this book! Now that I’ve got that out there, let me tell you why. Wounded Spirits by April Gardner is compelling, well written, fast paced, entertaining, informative without becoming expository, has interesting well-developed characters, and from an historical perspective, delves into an area of ‘forbidden love’ that is uncommon in this genre. Have I missed anything?

Set in the Southeastern US during the early 1800s, we are dumped smack into the middle…

Release of Latest Amish Book

I’ve had some busy long days working on editing my book and designing a cover. As soon as I knew the book was in print, I posted on websites to announce the book’s release. I have a list of buyers that like to know first. Some have emailed me several times wondering how soon I’d have the book done. I don’t like to put all the buyers names together and email one message so I email them one at a time. Gives me a chance to personalize the messages. These are…

Not fast enough.

“It’s not happening fast enough! It’s not happening fast enough!” Those were the complaints of Jim Morrison during the early days of the 1960’s rock band The Doors concerts. They had been together as a group for a mere seven months and Jim was getting antsy for them to get discovered. “Relax Jim,” Ray Manzareck (The keyboardist and discoverer of Jim’s song writing ability) replied. “All great things take time.”

Within the year the group was world famous and Jim Morrison became one of…

Fearing For America

I don’t usually write about politics. Along with religion, it’s one of the most debated subjects we have as a people. No matter if you’re a democrat or republican, we all have our viewpoints. But, given the political year we’re all about to engage in, I felt it time to express my position of where I see America, as it currently stands. I realize many won’t…
