Help! I Can’t Break the Doors Down

So after the weekend ended, I thought it was time to start promoting my book. I have been pounding on doors left and right, but not one door has opened. I’ve contacted my local school district to update them on my new school visit programs. I sent out media kits on Babysitting SugarPaw to most of our locally owned bookstores. I have even looked into booth spaces for upcoming events, but no one seems interested in having an author share the love of reading and writing. What’s up with… Continue

Kindle Post Featured On iFOGO Village & More Author Sites

What a nice surprise to get an email to let me know that my blog post from last week - Kindle Book Sales A Surprise - was featured on www.iFogovillage.com. Thank you iFogo Village.

I read in an Amazon discussion that another author was surprised at how well his book was selling on Kindle after not getting as good a result for his hardcover book. Made me wonder just how many Kindles have been sold. Maybe sales would dry up soon. Also, on the…

The Publishing War

The Publishing War

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Cheryl_Kaye_Tardif]Cheryl Kaye Tardif

Looking for a publisher? In North America, there are hundreds of thousands of people who dream of becoming a published author. They write in their spare time, on their days off and well into the night. Most of them, however, are reluctant to step into the 'war zone' that is the publishing world. "Do I self-publish? Can I…

The Eighth Scroll - A Modern Day Religious Murder Mystery - Review

The Eighth Scroll - A Modern Day Religious Murder Mystery

What if the missing and final text of the Dead Sea Scrolls was found today? It's believed that this final message would confirm or denounce religious beliefs and practices for the entire world, so it stands to reason that some organizations and…

"The Dream House: Visions and Nightmares" by Victoria Roder - A Book Review

I ran into Victoria Roder’s novel, The Dream House: Visions and Nightmares, quite accidentally: While following a discussion on the Amazon forum which encouraged authors to pitch their books, I read a short synopsis of this story and immediately felt drawn to it.

The Dream House tells the story of Hope Graham, a woman who, night after night, is haunted by a recurring dream taking place in her childhood home. Concerned about her physical and mental wellness, she decides to visit the… Continue

WHY I'M NOT WRITING

I'm very adamant on the Internet and elsewhere that I don't believe in the notorious “writers block.” Most former journalists and newspaper people will agree with me. We couldn't couldn't look up at the editor in despair and whine, “I don't know, sir. The words just aren't coming to me right now.” That doesn't fly when there are column inches to fill and lay-out…
