The Sunwright Chronicles: Empire at War Kevin M. Villegas

Hello again and welcome to Tuesday. Let’s get right into today’s novel shall we? It is a self – published effort by Kevin M. Villegis and I found it highly engaging. Here is the synopsis:

“The greatest empire the world has ever known stands on the brink of destruction.

A powerful invasion from the east coupled with an influx of spies and saboteurs threatens to destroy the Empire of Kirmar.

Bisset's 'Cat Orchestra' and other performing cats.

I haven’t posted about cats for a while, so to put that right here is some historical trivia about performing cats.

In the mid 18th century, Scotsman Samuel Bisset read about the success of an animal act, ‘The Thinking Horse’ and decided to have a go himself. His first foray into animal training involved a monkey who he taught to ride a pony, and dance with a dog. But Bisset astutely realised that novelty was the key to success and hit on the idea of training that least…

Hello readers,

You probably ask yourselves, how could breast cancer be a blessing in disguise?

Actually, there is a simple answer to that question. Since I believe that everything that happens to us, there is a lesson we have to learn from it. In my encounter with breast cancer, I learned tremendous things I was not aware about them before.

My experience with breast cancer helped me change my outlook towards life. My perspective towards life changed, and my priorities…

Writers Groups

I spend eight hours or more writing and dealing with matters related to writing.

While writing there is no one to metaphorically hold my hand, encourage me and help me to improve my work in progress.

From my first draft of a novel or article I try to write to the best of my ability and avoid the many pitfalls which plague authors.  By the time I have written several drafts, revised and edited my work I know it inside out, upside down and back to front, and that is the…
