Christian Thriller Now Available

The Christian thriller entitled Heart of Terror was just released.  One reviewer called the book "a well-written, engaging novel".  He went on to say: "The story is a low-key, solidly written account that reveals some of the inner workings of the Muslim world in Iran and Saudi Arabia...  The story is engaging and flows smoothly in a steady rhythm...  It is an entertaining and thought-provoking story."  The Midwest Book Review said: "Heart of Terror is an exciting twist of…

Poem: Measure of Faith

O Lord, I thank you once more,

for Your measure of faith in me.

I’ve made a decision of how to act,

regardless of what I feel or see.

I chose to release my faith three ways:

by praying, saying and doing what I should.

I trust You Lord to honor Your Word, while…

avoiding the silliness of knocking on wood.

Willingly, I step forward boldly with faith

through the wide doors of opportunities;

having consumed The Word in great quantities,

I speak…

Marketing Materials for Indie Authors

Marketing a professional image is probably one of the biggest challenges for cash strapped indie authors. When everything from the cover of the book to editing and lets not forget just getting the word out about your book is important where do you cut costs?  Hopefully, cutting costs does not mean you have to do everything yourself and possibly sacrifice quality.  There are many resources online for Indie Authors to get quality services ranging from cheap services like Fiverr, freelance…

Yes, marketing works!

I’ve been reading a lot of threads and forums lately dealing with the topic of marketing your book. It seems there are a lot of “newbies” out there in this relatively virgin explosion of indie publishing and many can’t understand why their book isn’t selling. When asked if they market and promote their books most say yes, but complain that they have limited time, maybe a few hours a week.

These authors wonder why they have little or no sales.…

Hard Work & Luck

I’ve seen various articles recently about the rise and fall of the e-book, and the return to the top of the pyramid of traditionally published books. Each article presents a reasonable and credible discussion on the merits of each process, and for indie authors of a nervous disposition it means the end is nigh! Apart from the famous and the infamous, to be a successful writer you need a massive slice of luck, and there’s nothing truer than that old saying: luck is when opportunity and…

The Chance my first book

The digital and Paperback are available on Amazon and I have now sold  1335 and counting!!!! The second book in the series "The Queen" packs more of a punch and it is in draft and up to ten chapters now.  I will still have a lot of editing, editing, etc. But it is better than the first book and sets up the series for 3,4, and the final fifth one.

Here is a rough draft snippet of "The Queen":

I kept mentally scanning for Jack or Decant as I tore through…

Book writing is such a JOY, but keeping up with the Marketing Side takes true fortitude!

Imagine being able to pick up or touch an object and in a few moments time, know everything there is to know about it. Imagine not knowing you were predisposed to haptic sensitivity until some stressor plunged you into a world you weren’t prepared…

Writing and Research

I'm working on Lamentations of a Warrior, the sequel to my first novel, Sojourner's Dream.  I started working on Lamentations of a Warrior in 2006.  Since my duties as a mother and a wife are first priority, not to mention that I was working a full-time job, the writing process was slow.  My family had been supportive of my writing the first novel, yet they wanted their attention, too.  So, the sequel was often put on the back burner, so to speak.  Nonetheless, I'm…

For happiness will never be found

in the possession of earthly things.…
