When I was growing up, my hometown of Sparta, Illinois, had two very prominent industries. They were coal mining and printing. Both provided a good standard of living for its workers.
One, though, had the distinction of being the innovator and the single largest producer of its product in the world. That belonged to our printing industry. It was known to the world as World Color Press. We simply referred to it as the “Comic Book Factory”.

The quintessence of Christian living and lifestyle,
is becoming more like Christ through everyday trials;
Flaunting documentation of accomplishments compiled,
will not impress The Almighty or even make Him smile.
Are you hungering or thirsting for His Righteousness?
Or is it some vain imaginary or visionary theorization
to demonstrate a haughtiness of spiritual intellect?
Just because you’re a part of Jehovah’s holy nation,
doesn’t mean that you…

The foster care system in this country is clearly flawed. Instead of providing foster children a temporary safe haven, the system is too often just another trap that pushes them into another wave of rejection, loneliness and harsh conditions. Foster children are continually at risk, and the need is urgent for the federal government to implement reforms to ensure that the program offers foster children safety, security and stability, and a chance of a better life.
Any reform…

Over the years I have always used writing to resolve my innermost feelings, and in the eighties, after having shared some of my writings with a friend, I was encouraged to publish a book. Titling it was difficult until another friend said, “It’s very much a woman’s book, Peggy,” so thus the title. - See more at:…

“Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It’s not something you learn in school. But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything.” Do you know who said this? Take a wild guess. It’s Muhammad Ali. Yes, the boxer who floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee.
Ali is right you know. Friendship is not something you are taught, but somehow it just comes naturally. Friendship is actually a form of love where two people mutually…

Fall was normally a routine season in Amish Country with harvest taking up much of the Plain farmers time. They put in long hours of hard work, shucking corn and making the last crop of hay. But one fall near Wickenburg, Iowa wasn't normal at all. When Jacob Stolfus's barn burnt down, he saw a rider on horseback…

So, when does sexual attraction stop and relationship begins? Is it possible for a relationship to last without sexual attraction?
In my humble opinion, sexual attraction does not stop when your relationship with someone turns into love. It just doesn’t stop once the other one begins since it is not the basis for the other one to exist. Sexual chemistry is actually extremely important in a relationship. Sure, love may hold a relationship together, but sexual chemistry keeps it alive.…

Since time immemorial, humans have been haunted by this question: Do ghosts exist?
The belief in ghosts is present in most cultures around the world. In European folklore, they are the souls of the dead who come back to haunt or harm the living. In Chinese traditions, ghosts of ancestors are believed to be able to communicate with the living through a medium.
Ghosts are called by many names and are thought to manifest themselves in various forms, yet they all have one defining…

When the United States of America and the United Kingdom fought during the War of 1812, a large number of enslaved Africans (well over 4,000) managed to escape American slavery and find eventual freedom. Slaves from places such as the Georgia and the Chesapeake Bay coastal regions of Maryland and Virginia escaped on Royal Navy ships that were part of the blockade along the American coast. These freed slaves became known as the Black Refugees. - See more at:…
