Kairotic Moment

Everyone has a kairotic moment, an antepenultimate moment, in which some momentary event changes the way one thinks or creates an idea. That is what happened to me about six months ago when my wife said you need to start writing books. My background, education and research was in the area of theology and philosophy. However with about 3000 pages of notes and manuscripts that I had written over a 25 year period, I realized it was conceivable that some books may be buried in those papers. The… Continue

A True Transformation

Have you been waiting for your spouse to come to knowledge of Jesus that will transform his life? Sometimes that personal revelation takes awhile... Read about Thomas in the Bible (John 20:19-29). I firmly believe in divine appointments. Thomas wasn't in the room when Jesus met with the disciples on the same evening He arose from the grave. Do you ever wonder why Thomas wasn't present with them?

Remember, this was the same Thomas that… Continue

Thanksgiving – What does it mean to you?

Thanksgiving is a concept as old as civilization itself. Webster defines it as the following: the act of giving thanks; a prayer expressing gratitude; a public acknowledgment or celebration of divine goodness.

As Christians, we acknowledge God’s goodness and provision in our expression of thanksgiving. God’s Word implores us to give thanks to Him. Both Old and New Testament books of the Bible encourage us to have an attitude of gratitude. Psalm 50:14 tells us to, “Offer to God… Continue

It Is Tempting – But You Must Resist!

Oh, how we love to bash Eve for succumbing to temptation – but don’t we all struggle with that one? Satan does not tempt us in generalities. He is far too clever for that. He likes to pick out something specific to hone in on. Take discontentment, for example. He will tell you that you deserve so much more, or maybe something better, and of course, that one particular thing you don’t have. He just aimed his poison dart at your “pride” and you fell for… Continue

Will You Heed the Call of Jesus?

What exactly is a call? You might have a phone call, or a call to dinner, or how about a bad call during a ball game? Then there’s a call to action. No - here we’re talking about a call that requires obedience. A better way of saying it, is a calling.

God has a plan for each of us. There are as many different types of callings as there are people, but two things are common: God’s timing and God’s choosing.

There are various characteristics that… Continue
